In this position, the individual will be responsible for designing and developing verification strategy and detailed tests for key algorithms /functionality of firmware IP modules. Verification tests at the unit level will be focused on verifying complex algorithms in firmware and ensure adequate test coverage. Develops test harnesses, scripts and automation as necessary.
Functional verification test development for device firmware, Capable of Scripting in Python, Perl etc. in test bench environments. Embedded software development in 'C' is advantageous. Good debug skills in isolating problems in device level firmware/software. Understanding of RTOS based firmware environments. Experience in firmware verification of storage devices, hard drives, memory devices is advantageous. Capable of functioning in geographically distributed team environments. Good oral and written communication skills. Pro-active, problem solving approach.
